Take care of LED Blaze Plus Planet Super 2 LED Blinky eXtreme Light Rear 1/2-Watt Bicycle Bike Flash

Beautiful light – horrible mounting system.

The light is bright like everyone is saying.

My problem is one day I looked down and Planet Bike Blinky Super Flash 1/2-Watt Blaze LED Plus 2 eXtreme LED Rear Bicycle Light was gone – jumped the mount.

I was riding over a lot of rocks and I guess it popped out. That had me

really steamed. I also had a air pump that shook apart too.

All the mounting systems are very similar, but I cannot afford

to spend whatever it is for a light, nice as it is and have to take

it off all the time or buy a new one when it falls off.

Someone should come up with a flexible mounting standard,

all of the ones I have seen are terrible.

very pleased. This little unit is very adequate for any time of day or night. Very eye catching. We own 4 of them and are well pleased.

The best rear blinky I’ve seen.. Yup – I own a coupleathreefour of these two…

Pros: Extremely bright; steady or flashing; unique strobe-style flashing pattern; very adaptable locking/quick release/removable mounting system; inexpensive safety

Cons: I can’t get my Congressman to buy ‘em for me on someone else’s dime (I guess you have to already be rich to get a government handout)…

The Bottom Line: This is a VERY nice, lightweight safety light that can be used pretty much anywhere – and can also be removed quickly and stowed in a pocket or bag in case you need to park your bike in the general population (hey, let’s face it – scumbags will steal pretty much ANYTHING if given the opportunity!).

I am truly amazed by those who claim they have ‘lost’ one of these lights that has vibrated loose from the latching mount while riding. The Planet Bike mounting system is the most secure and versatile small bicycle light mounting system I have ever seen. You can mount one of their lights ANYWHERE that a safety light is needed! You can purchase an accessory mounting bracket from the Planet Bike site, epoxy it to the back of your head and mount a flashing light there that is visible for nearly a mile – and your head will fall off your shoulders before the light ‘vibrates’ loose from its bracket (assuming the light is correctly latched into place)!

At the risk of repeating myself, if you have one of these lights mounted to your bike, pack, helmet, child, shopping cart, etc. and someone says they didn’t see it, they are either lying or blind.
