Pocket Pony My In watch out
I loved this book. I could not put it down once I began reading it. Perhaps it’s because I’m rapidly approaching the age where I could end up in a nursing home myself, but that part of the book fascinated me. It’s from the perspective of a 93-year-old man in a nursing home. It rang true. I was touched by the nurse who treated him like a person, who explained things to him, and cried with him when his family failed to show up to take him to the larger-than-life event he had looked forward to throughout the book–the circus. It made me think back over the experiences with our own parents and wish I could go back and do things differently.
The other part of the book, the flashbacks into this man’s history were fast-paced and exciting. I immediately sympathized when, as a young man, he lost his parents and found himself alone in the world, and understood his running away from it all. Maybe I question the believability of one or two points while he traveled with the circus, but not enough that it marred my enjoyment of the book. I simply took it as an indication of how much things have changed in this country over time. What would not fly now might have at one time. It opened my eyes to how easy it is to become absorbed into any society (even the world of a traveling circus) and how to survive, a person must abide by rules they might otherwise never consider. The book showed the higher and baser aspects of human nature, all of which I found easily believable. The world is filled with people who have differing stories and problems. We don’t all behave the same or believe the same, but we do conform to the ethics of our individual worlds–good or bad. I believe the author demonstrated that beautifully.
I read some of the other reviews, and was saddened that some people couldn’t see past the imperfections and simply enjoy the different facets of the story. It’s a good one.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read.

Sick about My Pocket Pony in
i totally don’t understand why so many people loved this book. i earnestly tried to read it the whole way through but couldn’t. the main character is completely unbelievable, and the dialogue is terrible (i find it hard to believe people spoke that way in the year this novel took place). the prose in this book had zero imagination. when i read books like this, i feel like the author is more interested in finishing than developing the work.
the litany of things i hated about this book would take all day to write. i suppose if you were ever interested in read this tripe, go for it, as it seems like tons of people loved it. i hated Water for Elephants, however.

How do you start a review about something that changed you? Changed your perspective of life and set you free. I was not introduced to this book by anyone. Well, except for God. The title itself stood out because on that particular day, I was fasting and I felt connected with God, more than I have ever been connected in my life. I was centered and I was at peace. I was directed to this book with no lie. I told God that I wanted to get closer to him and that I wanted to understand him more. I was currently going to a Christian church, though I didnt consider myself a Christian or any religion for that matter. All I knew was that I believed in God and that religion was so limited. So if you are religious, this book is not for you because it is going to knock things your religion may teach.
As soon as I opened up the book, I was attached. I did not want to put the book down! Its like every question I had about life and about God and about all of the mysteries were answered. The only reason why I took the information in was because it felt right. And bottom line thats what matters. If it suits you it is you. All of the questions I had that had to deal with religion and why God is to feared or Why do we have all of these rules were answered. The reason why I was not a Christian was because a big thing they promote is Fear God. But when I was saved, when I was shown the light, when God basically lifted me up, I thought to myself ” Why in the world would I want to fear something so beautiful?” It just didnt suit me. So this book set me free from all of those Christian scriptures. But it opened me up to other religions that held truth. Basically, there is not one right religion, every religion holds truth to it but not 100%. And this is something I thought, so it suited me.
I love this book with all my heart because it lead to me setting myself free. Not caring what people thinks, Its my life it never ends I am a soul before I am this Human. There is no such thing as time on

This is not the product you think it is. The picture and schematic for this item are both WRONG. Hoover has changed the product but left the model number the same. The new revised unit is not the same old beloved vacuum to which all the reviews prior to 2010 are referring. This version is a cheap imitation of the former. This “revised” model features:
- NO Headlight
- NO Bag Indicator
- NO hose coupling dust cover
- CHEAPER plastic
- CHEAPER carpet brush
- CHEAPER hose
- SHODDIER construction
- INCORRECT user manual
It still has the same amount of suction but because of the cheaper brush it doesn’t really get down into the carpet like the old one. It just glides on top over the carpet. The cheaper hose is a real problem, because if you ever suffer the misfortune of kinking the hose once you will never get it un-kinked again. The lack of headlight is not a big deal, but the picture shows it has one and some people may need this feature. The missing bag indicator means you have to keep stopping and checking the bag to see if it’s full. The plastic parts are made from a cheaper flimsy plastic. This makes the unit lightweight but it also means not everything fits together properly, for instance several of the attachments are misshapen. The old unit used to have a dust cover so when you used the hose it would not spew dust into the room (because the brush keeps turning). The “revised” model has no dust cover so you better get ready for a face full of dirt if you pull the hose out over a dusty area. The general construction of the unit is sub-par compared to the old version. In fact, the user manual is still from the old version, meaning the assembly instructions are incorrect for the revised version. You will have to figure out for yourself where to route the power cord on the rear of the chassis.
The vacuum does still work, has strong suction, and works well on carpet if you put it on the lowest height and really dig into the carpet. But you can probably find somethi
