We have gone through 4 scales in the last 3 years…none of them manufactured by EatSmart…and have encountered more frustrating elements of scales than one would think possible. Purchased this because of the customer reviews and attentiveness of the company to those reviews. We are very pleased with the design/looks. Absolutely love the ability to step on the scale and have the weight displayed in large, readable, backlit digits. Nice technology.

I found this book in a dusty little corner of my local used bookstore (yes, they do still exist) and was intrigued by the title and premise. A few months later I have now read the entire trilogy and must say it really speaks directly to the soul, bypassing all the mental gatekeeping we humans come up with to deny ourselves direct contact with the source of our being. I’m not one of those folks who think that all religions are only in the business of building their own power by feeding gullible minds with fear and judgment — there are certainly very enlightened folks with open hearts and minds within organized religion. Yet, I’ve always been skeptical of the ones who try to tell you that their views are absolute and threaten you if you choose a different vehicle to find love and meaning in life. It’s just too obvious that anyone who tries to tell you that God is vengeful or would exclude some of us is just insecure in themselves. As Michael Franti says: “God is too big for just one nation, and God is too big for just one religion.” Yell Fire!

What tells me that Neale Donald Walsch has really tapped into the essence of God is that the books read as refreshingly and truthfully in 2009 as they must have when they first came out in the mid-90s. This phenomenon in itself is discussed in the book — the fact that God really is timeless and nameless. Too often we’re stuck in the dualistic mechanisms of our mind that tells us to divide everything — yesterday versus tomorrow, us versus them, believers vs non-believers. In that very same mindset we also like to look at “God” as a particular thing or person, something we can imagine or portray with our thoughts. And too often, religious texts create the same kind of hierarchy of spirit that we assign to our social structures on earth. I am satisfied with my purcase of Office 2007. I bought it just a couple months ago. It is better than 2000 version I had been using. However, now I see you are offering 2010. And, you are offering to ship it free with purchase of 2007 set. I would have liked to have waited for this offer, had I known. Any chance of an adjustment in a situation like this?

So enjoyed the book, well researched, enticing story, pulls you in with romance and suspense. Excellent storyline, you fall in love with the characters and dont want to let go.

I bought this Hoover out of frustration. With a new dog going through house training “issues”, I’ve been regularly renting a “Rug Doctor” to clean the 2 hallways that seem to get the most abuse. At about $25.00 per rental, it was getting crazy. The Hoover SteamVac (with a 3 year extended warranty) was about the cost of 6 rentals.

The SteamVac is lighter, more maneuverable, and easier to handle in general in typical home use. Fully filled, it’s lighter than some vacuum cleaners that I’ve used. This Hoover actually cleans better than the “Rug Doctor”! The rotating scrub brushes really seem to assist in the cleaning. The first time that I used it, there was dirtier water in the collection tank than when I used the “Rug Doctor”. It also seems to vacuum up more of the cleaning solution than the rental. In addition to getting more solution up, the carpet drys much quicker. The power spray permits you to target spots and problem areas very easily.

I haven’t had any of the leakage issues that some of the other reviewers have reported. It does NOT have the cleaner capacity of the pro cleaner, but it is very easy to empty the collection tank and refill the solution tank.

It’s only been used 3 times, but I would HIGHLY recommend it for home use to anyone. If you have very large areas to clean, the limited capacity of the tanks could be a concern.

I had bought a few cheap ones that never really worked well. This one is excellent for my daily walks. It is easy to use and seems to be pretty durable. I got it slightly wet when I got caught in the rain but it didnt hurt it.

If you like adventure, romance, suspense, and excitement… read the last third of Water for Elephants. The first two-thirds set the stage for a thrilling ending, but that’s all. Although Gruen’s style of writing is rich with varied vocabulary and description, the elements of the first part of the plot evoke little to no emotion in the reader. Even if the author didn’t spend a hundred pages building the back-story, the strange sexual elements that rear their ugly faces every few pages completely ruin the enjoyment of reading this book. If you want to spend 300 pages wondering why you’re reading this story, then pick up Water for Elephants and enjoy the most boring story you have ever read.
