Z100ATAPI IOMEGA Iomega 100MB model

This is one of the best novels I have read in years–it is enthralling and captivating, and at the same time it teaches a most important part of US history by being and feeling with these women. Far toooo much US history is about dates and battles and meaningless data. This book takes you there in a way that few other books and writers are able to.

The scene is the deep, deep south during the Civil Right movement for African Americans. (The women’s movement is touched upon briefly as we learn that the heroine, a college graduate, can’t get a journalism job except for writing a “Mrs. Myrna’s” column on housekeeping tips–something that a woman with “help” knows nothing about.)

When you’re done with the book, you will miss those characters–Miss Skeeter, her mom and dad and most of all, “the help”–women bold and brave enough to tell their stories of working in white households c. 1964, risking all to make the world a better place. The women endured abuse, below minimum wage jobs, long hard work hours, etc. Some had good relationships with their employers, while others were bound to dismal, abusive roles working for hard hearted, nasty people.

I absolutely could not put the book down until the end. This should be required reading for US history in all the schools–7th grade and up. Text books are generally meaningless. This books teaches how an entire area actually lived and what was important to all the people, women included, black and “white trash poor.” When was the last time a book included how MOST of society lived and told their story–ie, white trash poor?

I was very, very pleased with this book and this woman just has to keep on writing historical novels and help our poor school children from the drivel that is currently taught and called “history” when it is only a slice of meaningless dates, events and what the upper class men thought (2% of the population)–I mean, who cares?

USB TB 2 Iomega line

I purchased this to monitor my Heart Rate and Calories burned while taking indoor cycling classes or running on the treadmill.
The Calorie count was not accurate. Waited 3 days for a email from Garmin to explained. Finally called customer service and had to wait 30 minutes
to get a representative. After Garmin’s explanation, decided to return it back to AMAZON.

100 Portable Zip Iomega today

Yes, this USB zip drive is much faster than a parallel zip drive. The main reason why I got this one was I need some kind of protable storage for my laptop at home, so that I could carry my large files from the office to home. It has more than served its purpose. However, after seeing its price today I was really angry with myself why I bought it so early. I bought it for 130 $ and I think 85 $ is a good price for it.

As for installing it on my laptop, it was very easy. Just plug in and start your comp. If you have windows 95, 98 then the OS automatically recognizes the zip drive and asks if you want to install the driver etc. Just follow the prompts and you are ready to roll. One warning from my side is do not plug in and plug out from the comp when on. I think this may damage the zip drive as well as the USB port. But if you are in a hurry its fine. Also the eject feature of the drive is pretty strong as suggested by other users, but I never had an experience of my zip disk shooting out of the drive.

I think this is the way to go if you want to transfer large amount of data everyday between comps. If you are looking for backups etc. I would suggest go with jazz drives.

My expensive Oreck vaccum was putting as much dust into the air as it was sucking from the carpets. I did everything to try to fix the darn thing and then started looking for a replacement. It was beginning to look like it would take $$$hundreds to get good performance then I read Consumer Reports and was surprised that the Hoover TEMPO rated so highly ….and at such a low price. I also checked out many the reviews on Amazon before I made my purchase. This is a really a terrific machine and it seriously SUCKS all the dirt up. After my first pass around the house with the new Tempo I was shocked at all the dust sucked out of the carpets I had just cleaned with the Oreck. I love this vacuum and would buy it again. Hoover does make a good product. I have have owned 2 in the past and they lasted forever. I have to say that it is a little on the loud side (thus the 4 rating) …..but then that’s the power of this vacuum and I wish the cord was a bit longer. The attachments are very effective too, and easy to put on/take off and they store ON the vacuum for easy access. Everything I need in one place.

Take Iomega eGo Designed Portable now

Amazon is selling the bag only. the mount is not included. My Nuvi windshield mount does not fit the bean bag. Garmin sells this bag complete with all the mounts for $39.99. They will not sell the mount alone and again it is different from the windshield mount. Amazon is refunding but this is a hassel.

Review about Portable eGo Iomega Hard

For the price, you can’t go wrong. It’s not perfect. It does not do well on bare floors, but I have very little bare floor and just use the wand. And the hose is too short. I had to buy the extra lenght hose. But I would still reccommend this vacuum. The suction is strong, its not heavy and is easy to handle. It’s like self propelled and I swear, it would take off on its own if it could. Bags are cheap here on Amazon. I am very happy with it and I paid less than half of what I paid for my old Hoover.
