Dingo Designer Red Dog reviews
This is my second Hoover Steam Vac. I decided to replace my old one which worked for over 15 years and still works. I never had to have a repair on the old one. I just decided to buy a new one since, I no longer had the attachments and I needed a new recovery tank lid. The new one holds more solution and heats the water. Does a good job. You have to have patience and really learn to use these machines and listen to the sounds. Everything has to be snapped in place correctly or it does not function. Also, they need good cleaning and maintenance. It sucks up a lot of pet hair. You will get better results if you also have a good vacuum and use it before you clean the carpet. It doesn’t matter what kind of cleaning solution you use. More important to go slowly and get plenty of solution into the carpet and then suck it back up slowly. Don’t go too fast. Use it slowly and go over the area twice for good results. If the carpet is not clean enough after drying. Do it again a few days later. After this, the carpet should be easy to maintain with this maching. I live out in the desert, so I have lots of dirt and sand blowing in. This machine extracts well and keeps me from having a professional cleaner come in except for every couple of years. I also use it in the car and on my upholstered chairs. It leaves them smelling fresh. I haven’t purchased a new floor attachment yet. My old one did vinyl floors quite nicely. So, I will probably get a floor attachment and see how it works on my tile floors. As for the clean surge, I have had no problem using it. The reviews I read said that the surge let out too much solution or couldn’t be shut off. I have had no such problem. The button on the handle is seperate and you have to push it to get the surge. I haven’t used the clean surge that much as the regular cleaning of the machine seems to to do the job quite well. Overall, its worth the investment and a very usefull appliance to own.
