If you waited to get the Garfield specials on DVD, now you’ll be glad you did (except you could have already been enjoying them). Here are three DVDs in a reasonably priced and very attractive fat cat pack. Since each DVD contains three specials, you really get nine in all. These specials aired on CBS between 1982 and 1991, attesting to the lasagna-loving feline’s continued popularity. Four won Emmy awards and others were Emmy nominees. Included are:

Garfield as Himself: “Here Comes Garfield,” “Garfield on the Town,” and “Garfield Gets a Life.”

Garfield’s Travel Adventures: “Garfield in the Rough,” “Garfield in Paradise,” and “Garfield Goes Hollywood.”

Garfield’s Fantasies: “Garfield: His Nine Lives,” “Garfield’s Babes and Bullets,” and “Garfield’s Feline Fantasies.”

The only specials you don’t get are the holiday themed ones for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, which are available on a separate DVD (and Amazon has it at half price).

All in all, here’s the purrrfect gift (sorry, I couldn’t resist) for any Garfield lover on your list. If you don’t have cable and are watching one cartoon daily or weekly of “Garfield and Friends” (now that all five volumes are out), toss in a special every month for an imPAWSibly good time (see my Amazon list “Cartoons Without Cable”).

Great purchase. Very simple to use and easy store away. For the price, you can’t get much better quality. Suction is great. Picks up alot of the water dispensed. I used to rent the industrial looking steam vacs at the local Lowes or Home Depot for $30 a pop. This one works just as good, if not better. Very satisfied customer.

This is a fine bathroom scale. The one I had before had a dial type display, and the digital one on this scale is very easy to read in all lighting conditions. It seems to give more accurate readings also. The only minor annoyance is how hard one has to “tap” it to get it to come on, but it is file once you get used to it.
