My desktop doesn’t have enough memory to handle HD videos. Fortunately my laptop does. They’re “jerky” on my desktop, but that’s not the Flip’s fault, I should have checked out the “minimum system requirements” more thoroughly. I DID have the “getting too hot” problem at first, but was using a usb hub. Plugged directly in to the computer, it charges fine. I think the fact that it charges upside-down is a kind of “duh” design flaw. I’d like to be able to see the screen during the process, you know?
I have a $4,000.00 still camera, so the Flip’s inability to take stills doesn’t matter, it’s not what I bought it for.
