I’m confused. Artemis Fowl is actually the antagonist of this story. How can the main character of a book be the antagonist? He is very un-likeable to the point where i almost put the book down. Here we have these good likeable fairy creatures and this spoiled rotten little boy just terrorizes them. I actually wanted him to die at the end. I think maybe this author got his priorities wrong when he developed this story. If the reader doesn’t like the main character, then there’s a problem. I will buy next book in this series and hope that Artemis becomes a bit more likeable. If i was still 12 years old and i saw Artemis on the

I bought this for a Nikon P100 which I returned in favor of a Canon sx30is. It worked fine in both. I took over 200 pictures at a time on the Nikon, set at a moderate photo size; I also shot a few short videos. I shot bursts of 20-30 shots continuously with no problem. The videos continued to roll without hicup. The camera never recorded fewer than 9,999 picture capacity remaining. I transfered pictures to my computer by removing the chip from the camera and inserting it into my computer (or, the first time, into a Kingston usb card reader). Transfer was far faster than when I have connected a Canon Rebel to the computer via usb (and, of course, transfer does not drain the camera battery this way).

I have just started using this chip in the Canon sx30is, but it formatted quickly and works fine so far.

Incidently, I searched Amazon in vain for some information on the difference between class 1 and class 6. It turns out that class 6 is faster and therefore does not interrupt the flow of shooting video. I see that class 10 is available but I have not used it and cannot comment on whether it is worth the considerable price spread. This one transfers my pictures so fast that it is hard to imagine how a faster card would improve my life!

I try to support independent urban films. Most are surpisingly very good. But this has to be the worst of the worst. The plot if you can call it that does come together at all. This movie is really all over the place and you are left to draw your own conclusion A LOT. Many times in the movie I found myself wondering what in the world does this have to do with the movie. Ie. When Jaretha (Elise Neal) was rolling around on the bed looking like she was going through with drawls after Dayvon rescued her from her abusive ex Malik. The person I watched the movie with read Thug Life by Thomas Long thats its based on. He said there is alot to the story that is either left out or just skimmed over. Like the ex (Malik) beats her up, gets her hooked on heroin and turns her into a hooker. You’d never know any of that watching the movie. You’d be like me wondering why she is rolling around on the bed like a fool. Honestly it’s like a broke down low LOW budget episode of the Wire, the location is W B-more just like the Wire and with the two of main characters I might add. (Wood Harris who name in this movie Dayvon, in the Wire its Avon…what a far stretch lol and Ed Williams who is Boodie in the Wire) Also is it just me or does it look like for the majority of the movie he is standing on the same corner he was hustling on in the Wire. Any ways I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Time is something you can waste, but never get back. This movie is a major waste of time.

I never thought I would pick this book up but for some reason when I passed it on the shelve for the 8th time I decided to read it. Read it I did from front to back pretty dang quick. Great book.

I never write reviews, but when I saw how many five stars there were in comparison to one stars, I had to support those fellow readers who disliked this book as much as me. I was hooked by the time period and the circus idea, and I was looking forward to being drawn into that world, but the author did not deliver on either of those points at all. I felt like she created a pretty shabby structure for her novel by throwing a bunch of “well researched” pieces of information together. She then attempted to flesh in a story around this rickety structure with hollow, card-board, characters. The voice of young Jacob is meant to carry us through the story of the past, but I felt nothing for him or anyone else in the story. The relationships were so very empty, there were no reasons for anyone to have any connection to anybody else. I was not interested or invested in a single character. I kept reading in the hope that something would change, but it never did. It’s really too bad when an idea that has such potential turns out be such a disappointment. Why on earth so many raved about this book is beyond me. Maybe it’s the same reason crappy movies do so well at the box office…the general public have no clue about what’s really worthy of our time, attention, and praise.

You will only know if you have been totally brainwashed by religion by reading this book with an open mind and ears to hear. If you can then you will be truely blessed by dialogue that takes place between God and a plain old human being that sincerely wanted answers to the hard questions in his own life. This book could possibly change you life like nothing else you have ever read. Take a chance…if you have been considering it…it may just be your time?

I have been shopping for a new bathroom scale and have purchased and returned several. This scale right from the start was great. It has been so accurate from the very start which was not the case with all the other scales I tried most more expensive than this one.
