I wasn’t sure what I was going to think of the Kindle when I purchased it. I’m an avid reader and I love books – the feel, the smell, everything. But this Kindle is AMAZING! I can honestly say I’ll never purchase a regular book again. I read books quicker. I can change the print size and it’s really helpful. The thing I love the most is the price of new release books in the Kindle store. I used to purchase books at almost thirty dollars, but now I can buy new releases for $9.99 at the most. I just can’t say enough great things about the Kindle. I don’t go anywhere without mine.

I have a 6 month old Omron digital scale. It was a little clunky to use (supposed to measure body fat primarily). So I recently purchased 2 identical Kintrex bath scales, for different parts of the house. These I found were 1.2 lbs different. One of them agreed with the Omron (!). To break the tie, I just purchased the above Eatsmart. This was closer to the one that did not agree with Omron, but still had its own unique number, a good pound less than the higher number Kintrex. The Eatsmart and Kintrex have identical characteristics and display. All four are recent technology and probably use the same guts – something is different across them though. My weight varies day to day first thing in the morning by a pound or more, so I have absolutely no clue what my weight really is. Maybe I should pitch all but one of these four and look at the relative weight variance. If you are counting on accurate weight measurement, get several different scale “opinions”. Ignorance is bliss of course. I am tempted to find a “professional” scale and carry one of my four to it to get the relative weight comparison. Who knows, one of my four might have the same number as the pro scale.

I bought this at the recommendation of my doctor to start walking 10,000 steps everyday. I looked up the highest rated pedometer on consumer reports and this was it. Consumer reports has not steered me wrong yet. Compared to 3 other pedometers that my mother and sisters have bought at Target and Wal-Mart, mine is more accurate and more sturdy. I would highly recommend this pedometer to anyone who wants to count their steps.

Absolute super product. Could do all what I expected. Also the black leather cover is neat. Many of my European friends are asking, when they can buy Kindle books in non-English languages. A small irritation: It did say that it would come with a US plug. OK, I have an adapter. Not a big deal, but then on a couple of weeks later, on www.amazon.de I found out that they have a European plug for Kindle ( 10.00, please!). That is bad logistic.
