I have purchased several pedometers over the past few years with the hope that they live up to what the manufactor says it can do. Another person told me about this pedometer that keeps accurate steps whether it is in your pocket or fastened to your belt. I thought by word of mouth is better advertising then what the manufactor has been putting on the packaging, so I purchased the Omron HJ pedometer and I too am a believer in this pedometer as being accurate and one of the best pedometers out on the market. I love the different modes, and the easiness in working it.,

Sara Gruen’s “Water for Elephants” pulls you in to an intriguing world right from the very first page. The story is a masterful accounting of Jacob Jankowski’s days working as a vetinerian for the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth, as relived by Jacob in his late years while residing in an assisted living home. Gruen moves the reader effortlessly from the past to the present and back again. The passages describing Jacob’s experience with the circus are delightful, engaging, and at times sad and horrifying. However, some of the more emotional passages are of Jacob’s elderly years. Gruen’s novel evokes the smell, feel, and taste of the Depression years even though the story’s focus is on the traveling circus. Her ability to bring to life the characters and their emotions is superb. I haven’t read a novel with such a unique plot in a long time. This novel was more than entertaining — it satisfyingly brought to life another time and place.

i realise this book is of note given the time it was published and its stayle, however i think in todays age it is decidely average and ot worth reading unless you have a desire to get a perspective of what would have been revolutionary at the time of its publication.

I really liked how this worked; like most reviewers I didn’t think it would stay on the dashboard or allow me to move it around–but it did. However, after some time it loses flexibility and stops gripping–that is, you can put it on your dashboard but it’s just lying there–it no longer has much/any traction and will easily fall off. I’ve done some dangerous things as I’ve lunged to keep it from flying off–now I never accelerate rapidly or turn sharply because it will fly off. I also have to push it further back on the dash (to a flatter place) than I would like visually to keep it from falling off.

I’ve had it now about a year although it hasn’t been “working” correctly for months. I live in a very hot climate which perhaps plays a role but it’s only on the dash when I’m driving; I hide the Garmin at all other times. So its exposure to high heat isn’t that bad.

I’m now buying a new one–which I suppose gives a mixed message. $23 for 6 – 8 months? Not terrible but far from wonderful.

Great suction believe the hype this is the best vacuum I have ever used. I never buy expensive Vacuum’s. And most the time I had to use the bare floor setting to get them to clean the carpet. I did a lot of research and bought this vacuum and it did not disappoint. If I try to use the bare floor setting on this baby it sucks the carpet so hard I can’t push it. Finally a great vacuum at a great price.

This is the 3rd Touch in my family. We bought this one for my son on his 16th birthday, and he has been finally seeing the light on what a amazing piece of tech this convergence device is. I can transform how you relate to the world, for now you have the power of a computer in your shirt pocket. I know some will pooh-pooh that statement as hyperbole, but it is true. Of the few things are my every day carry tools, the iPod Touch is one. I use it for play, entertainment, surfing the internet, and even work.

The power and flexibility is just amazing.

For me, I will be buying the 4th Gen as soon as it comes out, and pass down my current one to my other son.

The 3nd Gen version this review is about, certainly is snappier than my 2nd Gen, and I wish I had the additional capacity,(My iTunes library is clocking about 140 GB of music alone), but iTunes makes it relatively easy to manage the content I wish to carry.

Highly recommended, and for those anti-Apple types – your loss, not mine.
