I bought this iPod Touch as a gift for a user who has little “computer/gadget” experience, and he really liked it. He said that he was surprised to learn that iPods can also be loaded with video, all kinds of apps; not just music. It sure beats his lugging a laptop around for the fun of it!

When people think of slings, they think of ring slings, and this Maya Lightly Padded should win the prize for best workhorse sling. It is lightweight, but sturdy, with a padded shoulder that works for everyone! It doesn’t need the gentle treatment of it’s more expensive silk cousins, so it can handle spit-up, diaper explosions, etc. and be passed around the neighborhood. You can use it to hold newborns upright or laying down, and even nurse comfortably. As your child grows, they can be carried facing out to see the world or on your hip for a quick trip into the post office. A medium works for most people, so other caregivers can use it as well. I am a big fan of babywearing in general and this is the starter sling I recommend most highly.

As an African American who grew up during this time period…with live-in help, I was surprised at Ms. Stockett’ facility with not only the Black dialect but also with the sensibilities of Black culture at the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement. Her characters give the reader a sense of African American women that is unapologetic and not stereotypical. The story of these women, Black and White, found me nodding and giving my own “amen to that” as I followed them through their trials, as they made decisions about the future and considered their ability to commit to change.
Ms. Stockett is, also, a skilled wordsmith.

I was also concerned with the quality of this card. After waiting over a month for my high def camera to arrive I found the card did not work. Amazon’s policy makes it difficult to return after the return for expires(4 weeks?). Other cards may work fine but check them out fast to avoid wasting your mony as I did. I will find some where ele to buy memeory with a more friendly return polocy for non working items.

When I received my Kindle I was alittle overwhelmed, but when I turned it on and downloaded a book which took like less then a minute, I was so happy I purchased the Kindle. Battery lasted for an entire book. Only wished it had a light in it, instead of needing to buy a clip on.
